Zachary Dionise, MD

Dr. Zachary R. Dionise is a urologist at McIver Urological Clinic,
providing comprehensive care across the full range of urologic conditions,
with particular interests in kidney stone disease and endourology and
benign prostatic hyperplasia (including Aquablation and Urolift surgeries).

Dr. Dionise earned his medical degree from Duke University School of
Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national
medical honor society, and completed his urology residency at Duke
University Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna
cum laude, from Davidson College.

During his training, Dr. Dionise pursued an active research program in
endourology and men’s health, publishing on laser lithotripsy techniques,
surgical outcomes, and cost-effective, patient-centered care. His work —
including studies on thermal safety during holmium laser lithotripsy and on
parental decision-making in pediatric urology — has been presented at
national meetings such as the American Urological Association Annual
Meeting and published in journals including BJU International, Urology,
and the Journal of Endourology. He is a member of the American Urological
Association.

Dr. Dionise is committed to combining evidence-based, minimally invasive
treatment options with clear communication and individualized care for

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Dionise enjoys playing tennis, cheering on Duke
and Pittsburgh sports teams, and spending time with his wife, Emma, and
their daughter.
